Around 100 industry representatives attended the Annual General Meeting of the German Pet Supplies Industry Association (IVH) in Berlin on 12 and 13 September. In addition to technical topics and presentations, elections took centre stage, with Georg Müller (Interquell) being re-elected as IVH Chairman. Dr Gerd Großheider (H. von Gimborn) was also confirmed in his position as Deputy IVH Chairman and Chairman of the Consumer Goods Division. Dr Nicole Rabehl (Vitakraft) bid farewell after ten years as Deputy IVH Chairwoman and Chairwoman of the Pet Food Division. In recognition of her services to the association, she was elected an honorary member of the IVH by the member companies. Dr Thomas Brenten (Saturn Petcare) was elected as her successor in both offices.
IVH Board members Roland Böhme (JBL), Thomas Neumann (Saturn Petcare) and Dirk Wellen (Rondo Food) were also re-elected. Dr Jürgen Wigger (Bewital), who already represents the IVH at the European umbrella organisation Fediaf as its Deputy Chairman and was previously a member of the IVH Advisory Board for many years, was elected as a new Board member. Alexander Gerards (Dr.Clauder), Jannis Seemann (Juwel Aquarium), Felix Vos (Mera Tiernahrung) and Christoph Hubo (Beaphar) were confirmed as members of the IVH Advisory Board. Carmen Borsche (Nestlé Purina) was newly elected to the IVH Advisory Board, while Stephan Hoose (Josera) and Martin Sprenger (Herm. Sprenger Metallwarenfabrik) were confirmed as IVH auditors.
