My name is David Penny, I am a registered veterinary nurse and product developer. As an active and still practising veterinary nurse, I see post operative complications and infections on a daily basis. This can be distressing for the patient and time consuming/costly for pet owners.

I am passionate about providing the best possible care to cats and dogs, that is why I have developed this product to help patients and pet owners alike.

The story is always the same and echoed for every case. The cone is often removed by the patient or the owner as the patient is uncomfortable, can not eat, drink, sleep, navigate around the home and sometimes will even stop going to the toilet.

There are many alternatives out there, however, we have developed an alternative that is superior and use fabrics that provide an adequate barrier to prevent licking at the wound and prevent surgery site infections, unlike available body suits on the market that can be licked through causing infections.

Petsuit Surgishield comes with several handy features such as a detachable crotch so patients may go to the toilet with ease and comfort, our zips have protection underneath to avoid catching fur, a D buckle is conveniently located on the back so our suit can also be used as a harness, handy for beach walks and forest walks, providing protection against parasites and environmental allergens.
